Imo rosaline successfully did what persuasion failed at They made it super modern and fun without being condescending to their audience They went all out, took it to the extreme and it worked Rosaline & juliet are two sides of the same coin, only difference is that rosaline escaped from romeo’s clutches at some point (with a baby she had out of wedlock nonetheless) while juliet is still being manipulated by that f*cker And the only reason why rosaline escaped from him is because romeo ditched her, not the other way.
