Overall tashigi is one of my favorite's among the marines only behind fujitora and smoker so i like her pretty much but i am disappointed of what happend to her after timeskip in terms of strength development She does show some kind of skill like soru amd haki but doesn't do anything with it. Smoker, fujitora, and others who understand the strawhats all develop a clear begrudging respect for them I think tashigi's presence is there to make us wonder where smoker is Hell, there's been so many scenes with marines involved since smoker's last appearance involving all sorts of less relevant characters, but not smoker. Tashigi is evidence that if kuina had lived she would’ve been able to achieve her dream of being a powerful swordsman despite her gender
She’s an explicit parallel intended to draw comparison and show that kuina’s gender would not have held her back. As the title already states, i'm curious what you guys think about tashigi as a character Tashigi could easily be kuinas cousin Explaining why they look so similar, and why tashigi is such a sword nerd Heck remember that one dude from cp9, the one that looked like a kabuki actor, kumadori If oda said that he is a descendant of wano i would believe it
I expect tashigi, smoker and others to fight against the wg alongside the strawhats in the final conflict I see tashigi's endgame as her being part of a new, reformed marine organization, and continuing to retrieve meitō from evil people. Tashigi's main character flaw, at loguetown at least, is a prejudice towards pirates Obviously, this prejudice isn't completely unfounded, as the vast majoirty of pirates are violent raiders who steal from those who are too weak to protect themselves. The major change i would make is the monet fight, instead of zoro saving the day i would have zoro come in try to help her but tashigi refuses and takes her on solo.
