I want to close my wells fargo checking account Will i get hit with a fee in the process of transferring out current funds and then calling to close account? I'm not a wells fargo customer, but i'm on the receiving end of a swift transfer that's been initiated through wells fargo. A few weeks after an elderly relative had her wells fargo card compromised (we got charges reversed), she got a call from wells fargo fraud department, checking to be sure she had received her new card Then they asked her to read them the numbers on the new card so they could activate some security measures

I hope it’s over the phone because it’s right… Unfortunately wells fargo is a binding arbitration bank so you will be shit out of luck if they fuck you over I think there are a lot of advantages to wells fargo, depending upon what you need (it's an international bank, it's big, and convenient, etc.).
