I'm late to this post but was very disappointed with essie gel couture and wanted to know if others had the same experience I purchased two colors (spiked with style and fairy tailor), along with the designated top coat I applied as directed and the color was stripey and the texture was globby I found her to be quite good as an actress, she was okay in season 1, good but not the best, i did see an improvement in her acting in s2, specifically her emotional scenes

I have the worst luck with peeling/breakage. For drug store, i really love essie’s “gossamer garments” which is a very sheer, pale pink I also love essie’s “of corset” which is more of a chesnut, sheer nude with pink undertones. Regular polish never tends to last beyond a week for me A couple of chips on middle and ring nails but much more successful than previous attempts Using the gel couture top coat over normal essie polish is something i hadn't tried but must do more in future
