As a guide i am please with the preformance of shad keepr bu not with the price How does the shad crack hold up during warm weather with a ratio of 7 bait fish per gallon of water which is crowded My experience is that it really doesn't do much other than clog up my filter material I've tried using less and also letting it disolve and have had the same results
Make your own shad keeper, this is my secret formula i developed 5 years ago to keep bait in a kayak tank Pool salt from lowes, just make sure it has no additives. Works like shad keeper but better for shiners and minnows I have been working at fishing with live shad lately I have made some modifications to my live well that have helped keep shad alive longer but still not satisfactory I can keep gizzard shad alive twice as long as threadfin shad but i have decided i need a shad tank
