Constanta is consolidating its position on the map of leading international scientific events, after being confirmed as the host city of the 39th edition of the ecos (efficiency, cost, optimization, simulation and environmental impact of energy systems) conference, which will take place from 28 june to 3 july 2026. Ecos is the name of a series of international conferences that focus on modern aspects of thermal sciences with particular emphasis on thermodynamics and its applications in energy conversion systems and processes. The environmental council of the states (ecos) works to improve the capability of state environmental agencies and their leaders to protect and improve human health and the environment of the united states of america. The general assembly of the ecos conference organizing committee has approved that the “ovidius” university of constanta will organize the 2026 edition of the ecos conference. The event shall be organized as a complex event starting from sunday, june 28th, 2026 and ending on friday, july 3rd, 2026 The conference shall be organized in plenary and parallel sessions for oral presentations as well as poster sessions during the lunch and coffee breaks.
