After weeks of playing hooky from school, corrina tells molly that she must return to school the next week. Whoopi goldberg is perfectly casted as corrina, a black (well, duh) nanny who is employed by a white jew (very well played by ray liotta), to take care of his daughter molly (again excellently played by tina majorino). Her overwhelmed father (liotta) hires a warm and unconventional housekeeper, corrina (goldberg), who uses music, patience, and love to help the fractured family heal and find their voices again. To help cope with looking after molly, he hires sassy housekeeper corrina washington, who coaxes molly out of her shell and shows father and daughter a whole new way of life.
