John you are correct, the two foxy ladies in the photo at flecker gardens, one variegated and smaller, are from the very first batch of foxy lady palms cultivated and i understand mikey himself played a significant part in making the first seed observations of this hybrid palm which has entranced the palm community ever since. They say the foxy lady is a rocket but the growth rate appears to be the same as seedlings Erik, the foxtails were planted many months before the f1 foxyladies I have numerous large ones in the garden & i would say the foxladies grow more rapidly The only exception, would be the ones that are extremely variegated.
