Air pots like you see in most coffee shops will keep hot coffee and hot chocolate at servable temps for several hours What kind of volume are you looking at Most of them hold about a liter and a half and can be bought through just about any restaurant supply company For very large batches you might look at cambro drink dispensers They also hold hot beverages pretty well.
I found rubbermaid's at sam's club For extremely persistent odors in cambro containers, i get some activated charcoal at an acquarium supply store and put a cup of it in the container in a bowl that will fit inside (i have a pyrex bowl that is never used for anything else) for beverage containers (plastic) i put the charcoal in a narrow tea infuser. Ive been baking alot lately so now im thinking of buying one of those large sacks of flour and sugar from sam's club I was wondering how should i store them and how long do they last for?thanks. I also started using the plastic cambro and rubbermaid equivilents Today i keep some of these around the kitchen for everyday use
Does anyone else out there use these at home or do the esthetics of consumer pans and storage containers win out? I could use a large cambro container with a hole in the bottom and fill it with quite a lot of powder, and then cover it with and lid and shake it into another cambro I might go that route, but i'm still not sure i want to spend that much I'm having samples sent to me, and i'm still thinking about the japanese ones above for a simple solution. I have six in the bedroom for different types of flour (actually, in truth, one is currently repurposed for trehalose.) the smallest size kaf offers would easily hold 5 pounds of flour in the bag, though i dump my bags out into the container I was thinking of using these cambro half sheet size containers to store different flavours in my upright freezer I'm assuming they would hold 2 layers
