Within our after school and summer programming, saya provides our diverse students with allies within the school system who understand their unique experiences and challenges, and support their social, emotional, and scholastic growth. Young people also learn valuable skills such as personal finance and negotiation, to help them continue to grow their independence throughout their time at saya, in college, and beyond. Over the course of our history, saya has broken down the “model minority” myth, and paved the way for greater attention and investments in social services for the south asian population. We invite you to join us on may 10th at pier sixty for an unforgettable evening of celebration, where we will honor these distinguished individuals, reflect on saya's impact in the community, and uplift the remarkable youth we serve
