I've got a stainless pole at home and use chrome at the studio I've only had my home pole a couple of months so it's still quite slippery, but i've noticed that my grip isn't as affected by hand sweat on my home pole as it is on the studio poles.

(out of warranty) for others that have a saw that quit working On the pole joint, i checked the large terminals, 19v with the trigger pulled 1 small terminal has continuity with the battery connector (smaller battery id terminal) the other small terminal had no continuity It's typically the vaulter fault if they are using a pole below their weight class Also the age of the pole and its ware can affect it breaking
