I was on fluoxetine for 25 years and thought i would never be able to get off it, for the reasons you state, and also the fact that when i did manage to taper, i would eventually get my depressive symptoms back to a point that i wondered how life felt before i ever went on the damn stuff Personally, i think prozac creates a problem that was not there in the first place I have been on 20mg of prozac for 3 weeks I’m having bad effects such as shaking and feeling sick I’ve asked my dr to taper me off it but am unable to receive a response The np said to go down now to 10mg and i don’t know if this is safe

Hi can anybody give me advice on tapering off 20mg floxetine I have been on meds for 9 weeks now, my depression was mild and initially was told would help with sleep issues and occasional anxiety but unfortunatelu not seeing any benefis on the meds and would like to try counselling and natural methods now Has anybody come off successfully and how did you find it Im 19 and really want to. There is no longer a doctor until maybe feb 2015 My purpose for taking it never aided in helping me with anxiety/depression during my time of need.
