This is russian slang, “chel” means “guy”, usually in a context of some other guy, not in terms of “hi guys” but in terms of “that guy” or “you’re a good guy”. I've seen hut and online nhl referred to as chel a lot and i have no idea why I never played online nhl until very late this year so i've never been part of a community like this one I know this may be a stupid question but i was just curious as to the origin/explanation of this name
