However, there is no way to switch to switch to the new authenticator. I tried the only two numbers i had and neither is receiving the sms What are my other options to confirm the identity? Decided that increasing security on my e trade account was a good idea, and e trade suggested symantec’s vip access, so i downloaded to my iphone I opened it and it showed an id and a code that changed every 30 seconds I checked the 2 factor box at e*trade, inserted that id and the code and i was set Nowhere was i prompted to register on the app Also added the app to my ipad, and it got. All told, there is no need to get out if you don't have a smartphone.
Is this a known/common issue?
