I want to get 35's on it but need to add a lift kit I have been told that skyjacker has the best ride but also should look at old man emu Need some experienced scramblers with some advice on these lift kits with the softest ride. I have a set of yj half doors, the upper half may work with a cj softop, does anybody know if a set of upper doors from a tj will fit on the yj lower half, and also fit a cj hard top? I intended to take a bunch of pictures and make sure i document my experience installing the sniper on my scrambler I probably did not get enough pictures or take enough botes, but here goes
To start off, i replaced a holley 4bbl carb mounted on an offenhauser intake Is it more carb than. Toying with the idea of keeping the scrambler (wife has already agreed) but this will definitely require performing an engine swap to make it long distance at 65 mph and partly to satisfy my need to tinker :d was considering dropping in a 4.0 fuel injection engine with an automatic. Looking at getting the bds 2.5 lift kit for the cj Bds recommends upgrading to the yj spring conversion kit for improved ride (wider springs and less friction)
Is it worth the extra $400 or should i just stick with the cj kit Dedicated to complete builds, rebuilds and restoration threads from start to end. I'm trying to put together a list with photos of all the available tops that were available for the 8, 1/2 cab and full top Please add any information you may have and let me know if the info i have posted is wrong #1 factory half top #2 soft half cab (db top) #3 half cab soft top. I don't know much about the trim level options on the scrambler
My 81 came with chrome wheels, chrome grill over lay and the scrambler. Is the body off the frame on either one of those Can you check dimension n k and j for me too?
