Are there settings that i am possibly not aware of which will help me upload/download faster I am on rogers (toronto, ontario) speedtest.net shows my average download speed is around 7000 kbs and upload 500 kbs These are settings i use upload speed set at 50 global max connections 450 max connected peers per torrent 200 number of upload slots 5 Posted february 1, 2007 i'm on rogers just north of toronto I have two machines both running utorrent using the same internet connection One the first client i changed the port number and now it's d/l at about 170kbs and the other one is still at 0.5kbs.and now it looks like im losing speed on the connection.
Hey guys i am new here I am just wondering how do i found out what my port is Also what is the best port to use for utorrent, i got good internet connection, but utorrent is slow for me. I have nearly 1200 torrents that i am seeding and leave m. I'm with rogers in toronto and have also noticed very very slow speeds even using the brand new version of utorrent I've tried various ports with no luck
As said in the toronto star article, the only reason i never signed up for bell sympatico 6 years ago was because they placed limits on dl speeds and the amount you could download.they charge you if you go over a certain limit. Use switeck's conservative chart and all the other helpful material you can find here on the forum Find your maximum upload limit in the chart, use the numbers for the corresponding settings Want to use higher settings Never expect it will work at the maximum then A lot of connections = a lot of communication = a lot of.
