Ok, last week had a rough night and ended up blowing the fusible link that comes off the solenoid Went back the next morning and fixed that, and when jeep fired up i noticed my fuel lines were cracked coming off the filter (stock 1 inlet, 2 outlet) Had alcan 4 on a cj 5 loved them rode way better than the scrambler
As for sway bars i had disconnects on both The scrambler i unhooked and rehooked a couple of times unhooked and removed the sway bar The cj 5 unhooked and rehooked a couple of times, hooked them up and never unhooked again as long as i owned it. The valve cover has a plug in the rear and the front one has a vent. I appears that cj owners either move the front shackle hanger forward about an inch to compensate or purchase a shackle hanger that moves that point forward Scan of provided installation instructions From what i've seen, no soft doors will mate up to your hardtop The yj soft uppers are square on the rear corner and the bestop are round but are bigger than steel doors as they overlay the soft top Yj hard doors will fit a cj perfectly
They are dimensionally exactly the same. Toying with the idea of keeping the scrambler (wife has already agreed) but this will definitely require performing an engine swap to make it long distance at 65 mph and partly to satisfy my need to tinker :d was considering dropping in a 4.0 fuel injection engine with an automatic. Anyone have any experience with this Is it worth the extra $400 or should i just stick with the cj kit I have a set of yj half doors,the upper half may work with a cj softop,does anybody know if a set of upper doors from a tj will fit on the yj lower half,and also fit a cj hard top?
