When looking at the big picture whatever thing otto did to the img tree is honestly inconsequential, because there should be a timeline that already exist with kallen being alive, otto did all that just because of his own ego. I think it's kind of reductive to just say kallen does/doesn't love lelouch, it's a complex relationship Lelouch never really confides in her except for maybe the literal scene before the betrayal and then it's too late while kallen can never seem to truly trust lelouch, case in point holding him at gun point in r2 episode 2 or her actually. At the end of season 1, lelouch flees the battlefield to save his sister When kallen realises zero is lelouch, she realises he doesn't care about the black knight fight, because for him the only thing worth fighting for is nunally For him, they are just a mean to an end
Kallen is a soldier, she needs a leader who can win against britannia, but also one she can trust Shining light of hope in a truly bleak era of schicksal worst thing To dumb to understand the bigger picture honestly kallen and otto where making a good team One really charismatic and strong, the other clever and cunning The problem was that otto idealized kallen, allow her to do whatever she wish and always kept her in the dark. So it's not a alternative universe And nobody died outside of dome, instead everyone who was supposed to die in the kallen accident actually got a chance to live a new life in kiana's timeline I like kallen a lot but i don't endgame her with lelouch (i acknowledge they're into each other but i prefer him having endgame ships with cc, suzaku, or both) Reasons are that she's a pretty good character, all in all We see what drives her (the oppression of her people, the death of her brother, etc) and we see how conflicted she is with britannian characters at school She is at her core.
Kallen's hot and has a strong sense of justice so probably her. And lelouch and kallen was about to kiss, and would do something more, on horai island if c.c wasn't in the room Lelouch have a habit of went nuts when people he love is threaten, we see this with suzaku, with nunnally, with shirley and with kallen. (kept the title ambiguous for spoiler purposes) i always hear that the lelouch and kallen romance was kinda one sided But as i was rewatching r2, it doesn't really look that way In episode 09 of r2, lelouch asks kallen, when the war is over, if she would come back to ashford with him
