(a) help prevent an immediate loss or irreparable harm to a party or to children in the case, (b) help prevent immediate loss or damage to property subject to disposition in the case, or (c) set or change procedures for a hearing or trial. In this document, you or someone else will swear to the court that you have mailed a copy of the ex parte application to the opposing counsel or unrepresented party. Communication between the court and counsel (or other interested person) when opposing counsel has neither notice nor an opportunity to respond is a prohibited ex parte communication.
