Typically you would simply weld in a muffler at an exhaust shop with lower production models like the i4 2.7 The 2.7 hasnt changed since 2005 much so you can visit youtube and search for tacomas with 2.7 i4's and you'll find many likely have magnaflow etc welded in at a shop. Currently considering doing a simple axle dump exhaust setup on my 2020 v6 tacoma — basically chopping the tailpipe after the muffler and fabricating. Picture two mesh cones, touching tip to tip—that’s all there is to them There are no baffles to restrict flow, or fiberglass packing to blow out over time Over 30 years ago i did a little drag racing
There was calculation we used for how much pipe was needed after the headers to get correct backpressure After that the pipe does nothing but move exhaust away from passengerrs Not much point to this story except to confirm that all the magic happens within a few feet of the heads. New product and yes they are in stock and ready to ship Get rid of that unsightly tailpipe and resonator on your 2024 and up tacoma I will use the same muffler but dual exhausts instead of one and 2” piping instead of 2.5”
Thanks blue2010, dec 22, 2017 #7 What size is the exhaust where it meets the muffler If someone were to do a muffler swap would a 2.5 inch diameter be the size The muffler should show the details to what it is if you're buying new If it doesn't, chances are it's 2.25 in 2.5 out, meaning Your stock exhaust will mount to it, but the piping out of it will need to be enlarged to 2.5. muffler shops have this in stock because v8 motors run this.
Hi all, i've recently had a large (fist sized) hole blown out in the rear of the muffler from rust When looking online at replacement exhaust parts,.
