I used a hand syphon pump to get all the old fluid out of the resevor and filled it with lucas power steering stop leak After about 2 weeks of driving the car has zero power steering when the motor is turing less then 1,000 rpm. Power steering fluid flush post by kerrton » tue may 18, 2010 11:21 am i don't believe you have power steering fluid, nissan did away with hydraulic power steering systems and replaced them with a new electronic power steering which is maintenance free. Power steering is a simple hydraulic in both the pump and the rack , and bar any no sha$%t leaks in hoses ,a stopleak is really gonna help/ virtually eliminate the typical drip/drop a week from 100kmi+ vehicles I cleaned up the end of the rack with simple green and shop towels, and bought a $8 bottle of lucas power steering rack leak stop I used 1/2 a bottle and it stopped the leak. Leak in steering rack boot post by mossman77 » sat feb 20, 2010 11:34 am my 04 g35 has a slow leak seemingly coming from the passenger's side steering rack tie rod boot (not sure of the technical name) Do i need to be concerned with this From what i understand, it is over a thousand dollars to replace. Power steering stop leak should be a last resort, that stuff is nasty and gums up your whole system I bought a power steering pump gasket kit from nissan and replaced a few leaking seals when i did mine.
