After weeks of playing hooky from school, corrina tells molly that she must return to school the next week. After losing his wife at a young age, single father manny (ray liotta) decides hire a housemaid named corrina (whoopi goldberg) and this has a positive impact on his daughter molly (tina majorino). Her overwhelmed father (liotta) hires a warm and unconventional housekeeper, corrina (goldberg), who uses music, patience, and love to help the fractured family heal and find their voices again. To help cope with looking after molly, he hires sassy housekeeper corrina washington, who coaxes molly out of her shell and shows father and daughter a whole new way of life. A widower employs an astute nanny who aids his daughter in grieving her mother Their shared respect blossoms into affection and then love.
A housekeeper brings joy to a troubled child and her dad. There’s a lot i liked in the film, including the intelligence of some of the dialogue, but “corrina, corrina” seemed to be trying to do both too much, and too little Manny singer (liotta) hires african american corrina washington (goldberg) to work as maid and nanny after the death of his wife.
