I would honestly just recommend cropping parts out of an image/wallpaper rather than specifically looking for pfp it most of the time looks much better As for loss in quality save the file and then after cropping make sure to save it as a png to preserve as much as possible If the initial resolution of the picture however is too low then try waifu2x this usually gets the job done The worse ones are the guys with an anime girl as their pfp and when you look at their interests, likes, follows etc You then realize what they're into and it's really telling
